Alasdair Gray

Alasdair Gray has made his mark as a writer - you should buy Poor Things or Unlikely Stories, Mostly - but he's getting some attention for his equally odd art.

A story of his artistic life.

A gallery and explanation of some of his paintings.

As far as I know, he's strictly a painter. His books are ordinarily wonderfully designed with fine and weird drawings.

Is it permissable to get the books at the library, or do I have to buy them?

Once I've paid for the book I've had (mostly unread) since April or something I'll look into it.

BTW, are you insulting our "culture," or commiserating w/ our budget cuts?
