Credit Where Credit Is Due

Sadly, Mitt Romney's attacker was not some toothless hockey goon:
But the man accused of taking a swing at former Massachusetts Governor and GOP Presidential candidate Mitt Romney this week turns out already to have some small claim to fame: He is Sky Blu of the Grammy-nominated dance music combo LMFAO, now touring with the Black Eyed Peas.

[...]

"The irony in all this," says Best Week Ever, "is that LMFAO's hit 'Shots' is the campaign theme for Romney's 2016 White House run. Boy is his face going to be freakishly tan when he learns this."

Poor Mitt. He's been trying to figure out how to pander to the base for years now. He just doesn't have an instinctive grasp for it.

So he gets called out by a loudmouth thug on an airplane, remains calm, doesn't let it escalate, the crew deals with said thug - hard to find fault with the way he handled it.

But obviously a REAL conservative whackjob would have fired on the dood, wouldn't even matter if he then got his ass kicked or went to jail. The base is NOT IMPRESSED by calm rationality, and any true believer would have known that down inside their being. There would have been no hesitation.

He'll keep trying, and he'll keep getting it wrong, and they'll nominate Sarah Palin and it's gonna be the WORST fucking combination of painful and funny since that "Freddie Got Fingered" movie...

I thought it said "Granny-nominated" and I was waiting for the animation.

Mikey, I don't think the magically underpanted Romney-bot will ever win the Rethuglican nomination.

We'll be bowing to Queen Mooselini before that happens.

Thanks for the guidance, Thunder.

I'll try to factor it into my worldview.

You know, the one where THATS WHAT I SAID...

can we ignore thunder's lack of focus, and get back to the important subject at hand?

Namely, musicians and pop stars using fisticuffs on politicians?

I'd like to see Henry Rollins take out Joe Lieberman, myself.

maybe Rob Halford kneecapping Miss Mitch McConnell?

And, of course, Dick Cheney being dismembered by Rob Zombie in his next movie.

The problem is that the country music crowd really could kick some metalhead ass. Sigh.

Maybe in the pre-Toby Keith era. Now probably not so much.
